ISD Leadership Academy
In speech and debate, many of our strongest and most impactful leaders are students. ISD wants to celebrate and develop those leaders through our new Leadership Academy, a no-cost application program at ISD: Carolina.
Whether a student comes from a robust speech and debate program or gets by with managing everything on their own – each student should have their leadership skills cultivated, encouraged, and honed.
Empowering our Student Leaders
Speech and debate is a life-changing activity. Over the past eleven years, the Institute for Speech & Debate has helped students to find and develop their voice in order to improve their communities, their country, and their world.
With the launch of the ISD Leadership Academy, a no-cost add-on application program available to our students at ISD: Carolina, we are excited to continue the important work of empowering student leaders in our increasingly connected world.
Students selected for the Academy will receive intentional and curated leadership instruction that is specific to speech and debate. Guided by our championship instructors who have decades of coaching experience, the Leadership Academy will prepare these students to be leaders in both their school programs and also the greater speech and debate community.
Sessions will occur throughout our two-week program at ISD: Carolina, hosted at UNC Chapel Hill. We have loved helping to coach thousands of students since our beginning, and we cannot wait to help train the next generation of speech and debate leaders.
